The Hispano-Roman Institute is hosting the photo-documentary exhibition „Heroism and Faith: Memorials of the Romanian Nation” in Castellon de la Plana
Representatives of the Hispano-Roman Institute are pleased to invite members of the Romanian Community from Castellon de la Plana, Spain, to the photo-documentary exhibition „Heroism and Faith: Memorials of the Romanian Nation”. The exhibition will take place in October 2024.
The project is funded by the Department for Romanians Everywhere and aims to promote Romanian history and cultural heritage by highlighting the Mausoleums of the Heroes from: Mărășești, Focșani, Mărăști, and Soveja, built between 1923-1940, as well as affirming the national identity of Romanians.
The exhibition consists of 20 panels dedicated to the memorials in Vrancea County and the heroes who contributed to the victory of the Romanian Army in the battles of July-August 1917, as a testimony to the courage and devotion of past generations, which continue to inspire us today.
The Hispano-Roman Institute will carry out this project with the support of national and international partners: Vrancea Museum, National Military Museum „King Ferdinand I”, „Vasile Pârvan” Museum in Bârlad, National Archives of Romania, National Office for the Cult of Heroes and Generalitat Valenciana.
The project is supported by media partners: Radio Romania International, Ro-TV Valencia, Radio Iași, „Vrancea 24”, „Jurnal de Vrancea”, and „Monitorul de Vrancea”.
The exhibition „Heroism and Faith: Memorials of the Romanian Nation” is an opportunity to reaffirm the cultural and historical ties of the Romanian Community in the diaspora with the motherland, bringing to the forefront national symbols and the heroes who contributed to shaping our national identity.
The project will take place from June to October 2024 in Castellon de la Plana, Spain, and the approved funding amount by the Department for Romanians Everywhere is 56,175 RON. The project is funded by the Department for Romanians Everywhere. Radio Iași – media partner of the project.
We will discuss more about the project and its objectives in a future edition of the program InterCultural Dialogue, a program you can watch every Friday evening, between 8:30 PM – 9 PM, on all Radio Iași frequencies (1053 KHz/AM, 90.8; 94.5 and 96.3 MHz/FM).
